Wanted to get back into animating with Blender and decided to create this animation for practice.
First I filmed some reference footage to use as a basis, then animated the rig over the course of one week.
During this process I refamiliarized myself with Blender's animating and rendering systems.
Given the limited controls of the model, I was unable to have precise finger control for complex gestures, and the mouth controls lacking any shape-keys meant that I was limited to simple eye-blinks. Definitely thinking of revisiting this kind of animation in the future after some more experience with facial animation.
